Pocket Opera: Tristan und Isolde

Opera is entertaining, gripping and emotional: the soloist ensemble D’Accord has attracted international attention in recent years with its 90-minute opera paraphrases. With »Lohengrin«, »Tristan und Isolde« and »Tannhäuser« in the form of a pocket opera, the ensemble has already made several guest appearances at the Elbphilharmonie or performed at Wagner’s Villa Wahnfried during the Bayreuth Festival. The album »Tristan und Isolde - Paraphrase for String Septet« was nominated for the German Record Critics’ Award. The versions were programmed by the Iceland Philharmonic Orchestra and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, among others. The evening will be hosted by Sascha Nathan. He is one of the great German actors, seen on renowned stages such as the Berliner Ensemble and Schauspiel Frankfurt. He played in the Oscar-winning film »Im Westen nichts Neues«, in »Babylon Berlin« and in »Tatort«.
